Hey I’m Alex! Let me show you around Israel.
After completing my B.A. in Communication Studies at The University of Iowa, I was sure that I would be working for the circus. I’m serious. My mom pushed me to participate in a Taglit-Birthright trip, so I decided to sign up. In 2013, I visited Israel for the first time and after a couple more visits, I came back to study at Tel Aviv University and earned an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies - and stayed in Israel.
When I realized that I could be a tour guide and combine all of the things I love: history, culture, food (especially hummus), travel, and entertainment, I found my calling!
I am excited to show you around my favorite place in the world!

Oral tradition claims that “ten measures of beauty descended to the world, nine were taken by Jerusalem.” — I have to agree. Let’s wander Jerusalem’s beautiful ancient alleyways to soak in the rich history, spiritual atmosphere, and vibrant culture. As a complicated and important place for so many religions and people, Jerusalem is a must-see place. Whether we explore the Old City, experience the Mahane Yehuda Market, or beyond, I want to make the city accessible to you!
Known as the “Gate of Zion,” Tel Aviv has been an important city throughout the ages. Tel Aviv offers a fast-paced atmosphere and chill beach vibes all in one spot. We can stroll through Jaffa’s ancient streets, experience Tel Aviv’s unique “White City” architecture, and satisfy our tastebuds in one of Tel Aviv’s lively markets.
Want to explore beyond? Let me know! I can build a custom tour for you - Just contact me to create a memorable trip to Israel!
It has been said that Jerusalem is the crossroads of the world. People from all over the world have influenced the culinary world here over time. Taste the diversity of the city on one of our special tasting tours of Jerusalem!
The Old City of Jerusalem can be very overwhelming - Discover the hidden gems of the Old City and take a break from falafel. Navigate the hidden alleyways and arrive at the tastiest corners of the Old City.
Jerusalem’s Mahane Yehuda Market is where it’s at! The freshest produce, the bustling atmosphere, and an abundance of alleyways to explore. Savor some of Mahane Yehuda Market’s best bites on this tour.
Jerusalem is made up of a mosaic of cultures and these people bring with them their traditional flavors and dishes. When the market stalls close, the Market Gallery opens. Explore the lesser-known restaurants and stalls to taste the variety of dishes Jerusalem’s residents bring to the market and enjoy the vibrant street art of Mahane Yehuda.
One of my favorite things about traveling is eating like a local - trying the dishes that are unique to that place! If you’re craving the flavors you enjoyed from your visit to Israel, test out some of my recipes to remind you of your travels!
